The
first National Lodge Isla Victoria, inaugurated in 1946, was
for years the ideal "place" in Argentina for honeymooners or
romantic trips amongst the high-class youngsters of Buenos Aires.
Unfortunately, the wooden lodge burned down in 1982, and all
that was left was the stone foundation at the top of a cliff
overlooking Anchorena Bay.
The new Victoria Island National Lodge was designed in the same
architectural style as the original lodge and built on the same
site. The new lodge has a wood and steel structure and is more
modern and spacious than the original. |
