We
begin a fascinating tour through the city's past, discovering
some of the hidden wonders in its most colourful and traditional
quarters: Monserrat, San Telmo, La Boca, Retiro, Recoleta, Palermo
and Puerto Madero amongst others. We visit the city's most amazing
Institutional Buildings as well as its fabulous Churches, historical
Residences and emblematic Monuments, making interesting sight
seeing stops. Some of the tour's Highlights: Plaza de Mayo and
its surrounding buildings, La Boca´s famous "Caminito", Manzana
de las luces, Church of Pilar, Recoleta´s Cemetery, the emblematic

The itinerary does not require any previous experience or great
physical efforts. It has been planned in order to avoid traffic
jams choosing adequate and safe biking tracks when possible.

this tour we walk through the colourful streets of the neighbourhood
of La Boca, known as the piccola Italia due to the fact that
it was one of the favourite settlement spots chosen by the Italian
immigrants in Argentina. They left their cultural legacy in
the architecture and traditions, which have prevailed till our
days. We will make special reference to the traditional sights,
which belonged to the immigrant period such as the colourful
tenements and the emblematic Caminito as well as the particular
art of Quinquela Martín, one of La Boca´s favourite artist.
